TANAH LOT

According to the Balinese, the mean of Lot is harsh or sea. Tanah Lot in Bali there is a temple that is located on the small coral islands that visited by many tourists, especially near sunset. For the Balinese, the temple in Tanah Lot is sea temple that revered.

According to legend, this temple was built by a Brahmana who wander from Java. He is a Sanghyang Nirantha that successful reinforce the belief of the Balinese about teachings Hindu and build Sad Kahyangan on the 16^th century. At the time, the ruler of Tanah Lot, Bendesa Beraben, jealous of him because his followers began to leave and follow Sanghyang Nirantha.
