SANUR BEACH

Atmosphere in Sanur

Location of Sanur beach is in the village of Sanur, Denpasar District Municipality Dati II South Denpasar. Exactly, in the east and south the village of Sanur, which is the edge of the Indonesia Ocean in the southern of Bali island. The place is famous since ancient times, especially during a war Puputan Badung on 20 September 1906 where the Netherlands troops landed there. In the history of ancient Bali, Sanur beach is also famous, and still there is a stone monument is written the inscription of King Kasari Warmadewa who has a palace in Singhadwala, in 917, which is now located in Blanjong,  Southern of Sanur Beach.
Because it has a fairly calm wave, the Sanur beach can not be used to surf like Kuta Beach. Not far from Sanur beach, there is also the location of diving and snorkeling. Because the condition is a friendly, dive sites can be used by divers all of skill levels. Sanur beach is also known as the Sunrise beach as opposed to Kuta Beach.
